Big21 – prove your skill with every click

Welcome to BIG21 – the new game of skill from Swisslos. Win up to 5,000 francs by using your skill to place cards. You always start in the basic game. If you manage to successfully complete this, you can multiply your winnings in the High Low and Risiko games. Every BIG21 game must be completed within 30 minutes.

Note: As Big21 is a game of skill, persons resident in the Principality of Liechtenstein and Canton Ticino are excluded from participating for legal reasons.

At the beginning of every BIG21 game, you choose your stake from 1 to 5 francs.

In the basic game, you place 8 playing cards in succession on up to 5 stacks. The aim is to achieve exactly 21 points with as many stacks as possible.

The more stacks with 21 points, the higher your winnings:

Number of stacksPrize
21.1x stake
35x stake
410x stake
520x stake

The cards have the following point values:

CardPoint valueCardPoint value
2299
331010
44J10
55Q10
66K10
77ACE1 or 11, as required
88

If a stack adds up to a score higher than 21, the game ends immediately. If there is already an ace in a stack and the stack exceeds 21 points when you place another card on it, then the point value of the ace is automatically reduced from 11 to 1.

You can discard cards you don’t want to use by clicking on “DELETE CARD”.

As soon as you reach 21 points with 2 stacks, you win an additional 2 to 6 free cards.

If you have used up all 8 cards, as well as any free cards, you can purchase up to 3 additional cards. The price per additional card is the same as your initial stake and is charged to you.

As of 3 complete stacks, the Risiko and High Low games are unlocked.

If you completed 3 or 4 stacks in the basic game or the Risiko game, you can continue on to play the High/Low game.

In each round, you are shown a card. You then have to guess whether the concealed card in front of you has a higher (+) or lower (-) point value than the card subsequently displayed. The following order applies: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, J, Q, K, ACE. Here, 2 has the lowest value and ACE has the highest value.

  • If you pick correctly, your winnings increase.
  • If you pick incorrectly, the game ends and your winnings are lost.
  • If two identical cards are revealed, the round ends in a draw.

After each successful round or a draw, you can play an additional round of High/Low, claim your prize or begin the Risiko game.

If, in the High/Low game, you win 20 times your stake from the previous game, the High/Low game ends. In this instance, you can start the Risiko game or have your winnings paid out to you.

If you completed 5 stacks in the basic game or if you leave the High/Low game, you can continue on to play the Risiko game.

In the Risiko game, you can bet using some or all of your existing winnings and have a chance to multiply them. Prizes between 5 and 25 francs can be completely reinvested. For prizes over 25 francs, a maximum of 25% of the winnings can be used as a stake. The maximum possible stake is limited to 200 francs.

Once the stake for Risiko has been decided, the same rules apply in the game as in the basic game. You can purchase additional cards for the price of the stake you just set in Risiko.
